«Rusi, shukraan!»: children's smiles — the best reward for Russian military in Syria (PHOTO)

Russian Reconciliation centre in Syria launched another humanitarian action.

This time humanitarian convoys heads for An-Аl-Bayda in Damascus province. In the town we are heading for live many children that is why we choose local school as a base camp. When we entered An-Аl-Bayda we heard children laughing and shouting: «Rusi, rusi!». School head Nasr Kreyan met us at the school entrance surroundedby kids.

«We are grateful to Russia not only for military support it lends in fighting terrorism but for humanitarian help also, for the help in reestablishing peaceful life in our country», — says Nasr Kreyan.

Meanwhile Russian service members from Reconciliation centre started distributing food packages. There was separate special present for the kids — toys which arrived with humanitarian aid.

Security during the action was provided by military police. A huge line has already gethered waiting for the help to be distributed. Russian military handed out food packages against kids’ chants. Grown ups met the convoy with certain restraint but then eased and relaxed when thay saw children’s ease and playful mood, watchinf their attempts to help.

Military doctor started reception at the local first-aid post. There were many interested in medical aid. The doctor gave consultations to everyone who applied, aided required medical assistance, handed out medicine. 99 local residents visited military doctor, 31 kids were among them.

Having handed out 2 tons of humanitarian aid the soldiers could not leave because many kinds were gathering around them, shaking hads and trying to speak some Russian. The convoy has taken off but the children were standing there and chanting: «Rusi, shukraan*! Rusi, shukraan». What else but the children’s smiles and laugh could be better reward for such noble work?
