Open aggression: NATO expansion steps to the East against Russia

NATO deputy assistant secretary general for political affairs and special representative for Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai said that the Alliance was to extend military cooperation with Georgia «in the field of Black Sea region security».

Under «Black Sea region security» he means intensification of aggression against Russia which is going on for already 70 years. Since NATO was established.

Including Georgia and Ukraine into the bloc is being ramped up for almost 10 years and in case of a positive decision it would be the eighth in a row bloc extension.

Since the first day of North Atlantic military bloc existence, which was established in 1949, not only miltarist operations aimed at «USSR influence» started in Europe, but active informational campaign against the socialistic republics, whish shifted its focus onto Russia after the Siviet Union had collapsed.

NATO has moved to the East three years since it had been established.

By 1952 12 treaty countries were joined by Greece and Turkey. The last one is connected with the «hottest phase» of the «cold war» or «Carribean crisis» as we know it.

After American nuclear missiles were placed in Ialy and Tukey the USSR answered symmetrically and sent off nuclear weapons to Cuba.

The heat was taked off only because of diplomatic forces.

That also had a chilling efect to NATO, the following 40 years have brought only Spain into the Alliance in 1982.

But unfortunately the USSR was defeated in «cold war», this reslted in its collapse in 1991. But that was only the beginning.

Sideline to destruction of the economy and military potential of the newly formed Russian Federation, the West strengthened anti-Soviet propaganda in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet republics, eventually making them obedient satellites of the American host.

Under the «tactful» guidance of the American «partners», in Gorbachev’s years, all wepaons inconvenient for US, primarily strategic weapons, was began to be destroyed. Yeltsin continued his work.

At the same time, an important issue was the elimination of tactical missiles, which put American bases in Germany, Norway and Turkey at risk.

In paticular «Oka» short-range ballistic missile system, for the disposal of which an agreement was concluded in 1987, it regulated elimination of short and medium-range missiles.

It turned out that the agreement worked unilaterally. America violated the INF Treaty by unifying the Mk-41 shipboard systems for land use and placing them in Europe.

They are adapted for launching AGM-158B missiles, with a launch range of up to 1,000 kilometers, and «Tomahawk» cruise missile, some modifications of which are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 2,500 kilometers and carrying a nuclear charge.

At the same time, the whole INF treaty «saga» grounded on the baseless accusations of the Russian side, had a clearly defined goal.

The United States began development of a new tactical nuclear weapon a long time ago, contrary to the agreement, and the breach of the treaty due to an alleged aggression of Russia was necessary to start tests of prohibited weapons so as not to cause an international scandal.

Anti-Soviet and anti-Russian campaign hasn’t stopped for a moment during those 70 years. By the end on 90-s when Russia’s economy and army were almost drained of blood NATO initiated the fourth in a row extension despite its obligation «not moving to the East»

Poland, Hungary and Czechia joined the bloc in 1999.

In the same year NATO, which was acting only in the USA’s interests showed its criminality to the whole world. The 24th of March was the day when Belgrade was bombed, it took lives of 3000 people.

The Alliance acted contrary to the veto imposed by the UN Security Council.

After intervention to Yugoslavia every other «democratic» US intervention became more and more cynical and bold. In 2004 the USA got hold of Iraqi oil hiding behind the so called fight against Saddam Houssein’s «weapons of mass destruction», NATO initiated the fifth expanso to the East, the biggest over its history. The bloc was joined by Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Estonia.

In five years, in 2009 the bloc was joined by Croatia and Albania, in 2017 — by Montenegro. Now the waiting list consists of Macedonia, Ukraine and Georgia. This is not the end taking into account Russia’s growing military capabilities which annoy the West so much.

«I think it is obvious that NATO expansion does not have any relation with the modernisation of the Alliance itself or with ensuring security in Europe. On the contrary, it represents a serious provocation that reduces the level of mutual trust. And we have the right to ask: against whom is this expansion intended? And what happened to the assurances our western partners made after the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact? Where are those declarations today? No one even remembers them. But I will allow myself to remind this audience what was said. I would like to quote the speech of NATO General Secretary Mr Woerner in Brussels on 17 May 1990. He said at the time that: „the fact that we are ready not to place a NATO army outside of German territory gives the Soviet Union a firm security guarantee“. Where are these guarantees?» — said Vladimir Putin at Munich conference in 2007.

In 2008 when Russian troops forces Georgia out of South Ossetia the West realized that Russia can oppose West-ruled aggression despite the long-term externally guided army destruction.

Vladimir Putin understood pretty well that NATO expansion ro the East would only intensify, from his very first day on president’s post he tackled the army. In 2015 the USA not only came to see that but had to take the defeat in Syria.

In a matter of two years Russia prevented seemingly inevitable SAR collapse where the USA intervened in 2011 to overthrow legitimate government, to turn the Republic into another «oil donor» and to create new foothold against Iran.

Russian Federation destroyed main forces of US fed ISIS*, stabilizied 90% if the Republic’s territory and initiated humanitarian mission.

Some time afer the Americans pulled of the main contingent from Syria. The world has seen and agreed that Russia came back to its global power rank.

The comprehensive rearmament of the Russian army and its borders powerful strengthening became a symmetrical response to NATO expansion and bloc activity near the borders of our country, while the alliance generals thought about the consequences of the provocations of the Russian Federation for the first time in 30 years and even talked about the ineffectiveness of the alliance.

Strengthening defense capability was the first priority task of the Russian Federation to prevent the US from speaking from a position of strength and moving toward a political and economic plan, the main task of which, as Vladimir Putin noted back in 2007, is to prevent the creation of a single center of power, strength and decision-making, in itself is contrary to the concept of «democracy.»
